Align & Distribute on the Canvas

The Align and Distribute buttons allow you to more accurately and efficiently align and space your objects amongst each other and to the canvas. To accomplish this select multiple objects on your canvas and navigate to the Layout Tab in your Inspector Panel.

How to Align Objects to Your Selection

  • Select 2 or more items.
  • Select “Align to Selection” in the inspector window.
  • Under the “Align” section, click the align left, center, or right or the top, middle, or bottom icons to align objects respective to each other.

How to Align Objects to Your Canvas

  • Select at least one item.
  • Select “Align to Canvas” in the inspector window.
  • Under the “Align” section, click the align left, center, or right or the top, middle, or bottom icons to align objects respectively to the canvas.

How to Distribute Objects to Selection

  • Select 3 or more items and toggle Align to Selection. This will allow the selected objects to be distributed within the bounding box for the entire selection (the white bounding box corners)
  • Under DISTRIBUTE, select any one of the 6 distribution options: horizontally using left most edges of objects, horizontally using center of objects, horizontally using right most edges of objects, vertically using top most edges of objects, vertically using center of objects, vertically using bottom most edges of objects.

How to Distribute Objects to Canvas

  • Select 3 or more items and toggle Align to Canvas. This will allow the selected objects to be distributed across the entire canvas
  • Under DISTRIBUTE, select any one of the 6 distribution options: horizontally using left most edges of objects, horizontally using center of objects, horizontally using right most edges of objects, vertically using top most edges of objects, vertically using center of objects, vertically using bottom most edges of objects.
