Standalone vs Embedded
In this lesson, we are going to cover the different ways you can distribute Ceros experiences. We are going to use the final experience above which you can upload to your studio, however, feel free to use an experience of your own.
Ceros has two different distribution options to get your content up and running on the web – a standalone version that can exist as a landing page or microsite, or an embedded option that can place Ceros directly into your site, blog or other web property.
Both of these options can be accessed directly from the admin section, or from within the studio. In the admin section, you simply need to hover over the experience tile and hit the Publish button.
Embedding an Experience
Ceros provides two different embedding options — a full height option and a scrolling option. To give you an idea of the difference between these two embeds, we created two test versions of the embeds — A full height and scrolling embed. Feel free to explore each of these in the links provided. As you can see, the full height embed takes up the entire length of the page, while the scrolling embed creates an iframe viewport that may result on dual scrollbars. For the most part, you will usually use the full height embed, however, the scrolling embed is also available. Feel free to play around with the functionality of both to see what works best for your particular use case.
The final distribution option is the standalone version, which creates a separate landing page for your ceros content. By default, this URL will be a view.ceros.com link and the slug will be pulled from your settings panel, however, this can be customized at any point. To change the URL slug, you can simply navigate to the settings panel and adjust the experience URL as desired. Additionally, if you would like to learn more about setting up a vanity domain, be sure to check out our other publishing lessons.
