Particle Love by Edan Kwan

Particle Love by Edan Kwan

Created by 30-year-old UK-based creative technologist Edan Kwan, Particle Love is the hub for all of his particle experiments during the 2016 3D Web Fest performance. Made using webgl, three.js, gpgpu, and motion-blur, we haven’t had this much fun dragging our mouse cursor in…well, a long time.

Eskapismus by 110% Magazine

When it comes to the future of interactive storytelling, the combination of great editorial design mixed with incredible imagery is a match made in heaven. This interactive story about alpine touring from 110% Magazine is the perfect example.

It should come as no surprise that some of the best examples of digital craft come from the personal homepages of digital craftsmen themselves. Among others, we’re loving this personal homepage from Vancover, Canada-based digital designer Victor Ciel. From the mouseover animations to the transitions between projects, Ciel’s execution is proof that you don’t always need to go overboard to get your point across.

KLM iFly 50 by Born05

KLM iFly 50 by Born05

Created as branded content for Dutch airline KLM, iFly 50 is a special interactive edition of the brand’s iFly KLM Magazine. From the incredible photography and travel reports to the subtle explorative pathways (try high diving off a bridge in Bosnia on page 46), iFly 50 is one of our most favorite examples of killer brand content we’ve seen in awhile.

We can’t take our eyes off of the glowing pink orb that UK-based creative agency 2AM Media chose to put front and center on their homepage. Bonus points: users can play/pause the timelapse.
